Supporting Oregon Holocaust Resource Center
We
at the OHRC want to share with you a few of the exciting changes and new
programs occurring at the OHRC. First, we are actually DECREASING the annual
dues structure. We are taking this unprecedented step to make certain that
everyone who believes in the mission of the OHRC and wants to show support
for our organization by being a dues-paying member can easily afford to
do so.
Our experience clearly supports the fact that thousands of people believe in fighting bigotry and prejudice through education. We at the Oregon Holocaust Resource Center are in the forefront of providing this service.
Oregon state curriculum mandates will require Holocaust education in all Oregon public schools. OHRC is the primary educational body able to meet the challenge of this enormous task. Funding for these and our other projects is absolutely crucial.
To maintain our standard of excellence we are turning to you - our family. Our dues will remain low. But we all know that all of our work cannot be accomplished without your financial support. We have direct and indirect contact with tens of thousands of Oregon's students each year. The costs of disseminating our programs and materials to Oregon's students continues to grow.
As members of the OHRC, you are committed partners in our mutual efforts to eradicate hatred and bigotry by teaching the lessons of the Holocaust. Ignorant hatred destroyed millions of innocent people.
We teach the opposite. Everyone has a right to be respected for who they are. People hear Survivors' testimonies and are speechless. "How could it happen?" they ask.
