Directions to the Oregon Holocaust Memorial

Driving from South
1.Take I-5 North towards Portland

2. Take the I-405 exit (#299B)(on the left) towards City center/US-26/Beaverton
3. Merge onto I-405 N via exit number 1A toward US-26 W
4. Take exit 2A-Salmon St./PGE Park exit
5. Turn slight right; go in left lane and onto SW 14th Ave.
6.Go one block and turn Left onto SW Taylor St
7.Go one block and turn Left onto 15th Ave.
8. Go one block and turn Right onto Salmon St.
9. Proceed on Salmon, with a Right turn onto King Ave and immediately followed by a Left turn onto Park Place,
10. Proceed past the light on Vista Ave and to the main entrance of Washington Park at the end of the block
11. At the entrance, follow the road to the Right.
12. At stop sign at Washington Way (also school bus drop off) veer to the right and proceed slightly uphill for one block
13. The Oregon Holocaust Memorial is located to the right on the meadow across from Wright Ave
Driving from North
1. Take I-5 South towards Portland
2. Merge onto I-405 S (exit # 302B) towards Beaverton/US-30W/St Helens
3. Take Couch St exit (exit # 2A) towards Burnside St
4. Stay straight to go unto NW 15th Ave
5. Follow 15th Ave across Burnside to Salmon St
6. Turn Right onto Salmon St.
7. Proceed on Salmon, with a Right turn onto King Ave and immediately followed by a Left turn onto Park Place,
8. Proceed past the light on Vista Ave and to the main entrance of Washington Park at the end of the block
9. At the entrance, follow the road to the Right.
10. At stop sign at Washington Way (also school bus drop off) veer to the right and proceed slightly uphill for one block
11. The Oregon Holocaust Memorial is located to the right on the meadow across from Wright Ave
Driving from West
1. From OR-217 N or from US-26, take the Barnes Rd exit
2. Proceed onto Barnes Rd heading east
3. After approximately 1.7 miles, the road splits. Remain in the Left lane which becomes West Burnside
4. Proceed downhill to SW 23rd Ave/Vista Turn Right.
5. Follow Vista (uphill) to next light ? SW Park Place
6. Turn Right onto Park Place. The main entrance to Washington Park is at the end of the block.
7. At the entrance, follow the road to the Right.
8. At stop sign at Washington Way (also school bus drop off) veer to the right and proceed slightly uphill for one block
9. The Oregon Holocaust Memorial is located to the right on the meadow across from Wright Ave.
Driving from East
1. Take I-84 W/ US-30 W towards Portland
2. Merge onto I-5 S via the exit -on the left- toward Beaverton/Salem
3. Merge onto I-405 N via the exit - on the left- toward City Center/ US-26/ Beaverton
4. Take exit 2A-Salmon St./PGE Park exit
5. Turn slight right; go in left lane and onto SW 14th Ave.
6. Go one block and turn Left onto SW Taylor St
7. Go one block and turn Left onto 15th Ave.
8. Go one block and turn Right onto Salmon St.
9. Proceed on Salmon, with a Right turn onto King Ave and immediately followed by a Left turn onto Park Place,
10. Proceed past the light on Vista Ave and to the main entrance of Washington Park at the end of the block
11. At the entrance, follow the road to the Right.

Parking
For those driving to the park, there is ample parking around the entrance turnaround, all within 1 to 2 blocks of the memorial. Disabled parking is located on the backside of Washington Way in the proximity of the bus drop off area.
School Buses
School bus drop off and pick up will be at the Washington Way turn out area – directly preceding the stop sign. Students will then follow the path into the park, past the red brick building (restrooms) (on the left) to the entrance of the memorial (on the right).
Buses will then proceed to the bus area at the south side of the international rose test garden and will be able to wait there until pick up time.
Tri-Met Bus access
Bus
#63 - Washington Park. Get off at the bus stop at the corner of Wright Ave.
and Washington Park. The memorial will be directly ahead, immediately past
the brick building/restrooms
Picnicking
There are several available picnic areas for students and families to have lunch in the surrounding areas around the memorial. There are picnic tables directly up the stairs to the meadow at the right of the exit path of the memorial; tables in the vicinity of the Coming of the White Man statue with its surrounding meadows to the far right and slightly behind the memorial; and there are picnic areas throughout the entrance turnaround, There are also grassy meadows throughout the area for thoughtful contemplation and enjoyment.
