Educational materials from the Oregon Holocaust Resource Center
One of OHRC's main goals is to help Oregon's educators implement and expand their Holocaust curriculum within the classroom. We understand that there are many different state-mandated subjects to be taught, and that educators' time is often spread thin among them. Holocaust curriculum has been added to the state mandates for 2004, and with that in mind, we look to help make preparing your future Holocaust units less time demanding and more in-depth and informative.
OHRC's Lesson Plans are available online and also in printable forms (PDF format).

Rob Hadley, a Board member and US Holocaust Memorial Museum Mandel Fellow, is working on a project that will provide kits of introductory materials for new teachers who may not have an appropriate background in Holocaust studies. As always, all Oregon and southwest Washington educators are invited to attend any of the workshops and seminars sponsored by the Center. For first-hand accounts, the OHRC Speakers Bureau provides the voices and insights of survivors, refugees, and liberators to classrooms. OHRC also makes available for classroom use activities involving Berlin Laws passed during the Nazi years, as well as many other lesson plans for various Holocaust topics - including OHRC's two-part video "Glimpses of Lives Past."
